Our History
The Emmaus Institute international began, almost 25 years ago, as a Spirit-inspired desire in the heart of our Founder, Dr. Jerome Symonette, to assist pastors, ministers, and Church musicians in their quest for biblical and theological training, ecclesiastical understanding and practice, ministry development and personal encouragement. After being sought out by dozens of preachers, pastors, and Church musicians to provide training and assistance in ministerial formation for well over two decades, the vision of Emmaus Institute emerged. Through national, international, multi-denominational, multi-cultural, and multi-racial Conventions, Conferences, and local church training institutes, this much-desired training has been provided to thousands of pastors, ministers, and Church musicians.
Now, through this Institute, we continue to "walk with" pastors, ministers, evangelists, Church musicians, leaders, and the laity, to provide biblical and theological training and equipping for more faithful and effective service to the Church, denomination, and the Kingdom of God.
