Church Music Cohort Program

 

The Church Music Cohort enrollees will engage in studies in the following areas:

  • Keyboard Studies (Organ & Piano)
  • Vocal & Choral Techniques
  • Music Theory and Analysis
  • Hymns, Anthems, & Spirituals
  • Service Playing
  • Music Ministry Administration
  • Church Music Philosophy
  • Worship Leadership 
  • Formations for Christian Ministry

Program participants are expected to be continually enrolled until the completion of the Cohort program, unless prior approval have been granted by the Academic Dean.  Cohort participants are required to follow the sequential order as established by the Emmaus Institute.  One area of study will be given per Term, in conjunction with the Keyboard or Vocal Techniques Course.  One Intensive Course will be offered during the June Term ("J" Term). 

When a program participant must withdraw from the Cohort Group, when he or she rejoins the Cohort Group they will be required to continue the program at the place of the other Cohort participants.
